Made an account just to comment! This ruleset is great and congrats for making it in to Cabin Fever, you deserve it! I use it to generate some random little islands that might be "unmapped" on the Dark Caribbean.

I'm pretty experienced in solo so not all the tools were things I needed, but Hoist The Colors and the tables are absolute gold. If you made a supplement book that just expanded the adventure/map generator, I'd preorder a hard-copy immediately.

Thank you so much for your kind words! I have some loose plans to expand this into a bigger game, but I haven't quite nailed down where I want to take it. Until then, I'm still glad you've been able to use the tables in your game.

Hi, how the events die is supposed to be used? as a complement to the "and" and "but" of the oracle?

The Events tables (the d6 table of the Pirate’s Code and the d66 table of Events to Die For) are both in there for when the player just needs a little inspiration, or they just want to shake things up. You could also use them if you need more ideas for your Maritime Travel Encounters (when you Fail the Presence tests). Honestly, the keywords Event and Encounter could pretty much be interchangeable.

Hi! Thanks for making this, this looks great! I'm not sure I understand the oracle tho. There's 3 different words in each cell. Does that mean I can pick one that's most suitable for my scene?

Hello! Yes, that's exactly what it means. In general, the words are a set: verb, noun, adjective. Pick the one that makes the most sense for your situation or sparks the most interesting outcome for you.

If you would like to see an example of how to use the oracle, you can check out an actual play report I posted a little while ago on my Substack. Admittedly, that was a different kind of game with a different oracle table, but I tried to make it clear in the write up what words the oracle was giving me and what I did with those sparks.

Thanks for your swift answer :) Sounds good! And thanks for the actual play! I'm going to watch that for sure :D :D

Excellent! I love PB but no one wants to play, this solves it for me!

I'm sorry/you're welcome! Hope you have fun.

Ay chance you could export this as pages in addition to the spreads? Acrobat is a weird creature and refuses to print this correctly for me.

Done! Let me know if you have any other troubles.

Awesome! Thank you!
